Where it Began

In 1988, Danny Johnston embarked on a journey that would eventually transform Nashville’s residential and commercial landscape, when he founded JPS. With roots deeply embedded in craftsmanship, Danny learned the art of building and renovating from an early age. His great-grandfather, a master craftsman, instilled in him a passion for excellence, while his mother and various seasoned contractors further honed his skills. During his high school years, Danny immersed himself in a multitude of trades, becoming proficient in the very skills that would later define his professional success.

Balancing his burgeoning construction career with his love for baseball, Danny skillfully juggled part-time work in the off-seasons of his college and professional baseball career, earning a reputation for both his athletic prowess and his dedication to quality work. In 2001, Danny redirected his focus entirely to building and expanding Johnston Property Services, dedicating his full energy to serving the Nashville community.

Under Danny’s leadership, Johnston Property Services has become synonymous with top-tier craftsmanship and exceptional customer service, transforming homes and businesses with the same dedication and integrity that marked Danny’s early years. Today, the company stands as a testament to his journey from the baseball field to becoming a cornerstone of Nashville’s construction industry.

Despite being the owner and founder, Danny still enjoys having an active role in the company and can be found putting together cost estimations and assisting in the design of spaces.

Sr. Project Manager

Brandon joined Johnston Property Services in 2021, bringing exceptional leadership and coordination to our team. With extensive experience from one of the nation's largest home builders, he significantly enhances JPS's job performance, work quality, and scheduling efficiency. Brandon collaborates closely with the supervisor on every project, meticulously scheduling employees to meet the specific demands of each job and effectively coordinating with subcontractors.

Operations Manager

Jon, the 'Director of Happiness,' fosters team cohesion and provides strategic direction, drawing from his extensive experience in the music publishing industry. He efficiently coordinates supplies, materials, and equipment, serving as a vital liaison between customers and supervisors across various facets of the business. In addition, Jon expertly manages the fleet and keeps the tires rolling.

Phillip Wennerstrom

Phillip began his career with JPS in 2018 as an apprentice and has since advanced to become the lead supervisor for our most significant and intricate projects. His meticulous attention to detail ensures that each job is executed smoothly and efficiently, culminating in a highly professional finish.

Alyssa Hunt

Designer

Alyssa joined JPS in 2022 and enhances each project with her expertise in design and layout. Through detailed 3D renderings, she provides clients with a clear visual representation, helping them to fully realize their vision. Alyssa also meticulously designs electrical layouts and blueprint specifications, ensuring job accuracy and efficiency for our team. She collaborates closely with clients to select finishes and fixtures, including plumbing, lighting, trim, flooring, and tile, ensuring cohesive and comprehensive projects.

HVAC Technician

Brandon joined JPS in 2021 and now leads our HVAC department with over a decade of experience in the field. He takes immense pride in his meticulous workmanship, whether installing new HVAC systems, performing minor repairs, or managing ductwork. As a mentor, Brandon plays a crucial role in training new HVAC technicians, instilling a strong work ethic and ensuring the highest standards of quality in every project.

Tiffany joined JPS in 2021 and quickly became a pivotal leader, providing the essential core leadership that the organization needed. As the office manager, affectionately known as the 'Office Mom,' Tiffany excels in managing every facet of office operations. She oversees administrative functions, human resources, and the day-to-day activities of office staff with unparalleled efficiency and dedication.

“Sonny” has been a dedicated member of JPS for over 15 years, bringing extensive expertise in repair and remodeling across various projects. As a senior employee, he leverages his profound knowledge and experience, including several years in apartment maintenance, to diagnose and resolve even the most challenging issues. Sonny excels at performing intricate repairs that are often difficult to address, ensuring that every job is completed with precision. Additionally, he is instrumental in handling plumbing and general maintenance tasks, contributing significantly to the seamless operation and success of JPS.
